Acrobatics
Acrobatics
Strength, tumbling, flexibility and contortion make up the four main aspects of acrobatics.
Although similar to the mat work in gymnastics, acrobatics doesn’t use a sprung floor therefore they learn different techniques to accommodate for this.
Basic tricks (i.e. cartwheels, headstands, bendbacks, front walkovers ect) are taught in our beginner classes allowing them to progress to our higher level acrobatics classes teaching them more advanced skills such as; backflips, aerials and balancing combinations.
Pupils in year 1 and above need to choose a minimum of 2 classes to make up a 60-minute session.
If pupils in years 5 and above choose a 60-minute Acro class they must also choose either a Ballet, Lyrical, or Jazz class as well to work on their technique.
